Hello Bangkok

Bangkok is a really messy, wild, sticky city however people are agreeable and no one is loosing his temper...quite a change from NY. We see our local friends that totally set up a three days program for us, it feels like a vacation not to have to figure out what to do.
We go to see the laying down Buddha, the kids are impressed, however there are so many Buddhas a kid can look at! In the afternoon we meet our friend in a super american mall, in Bangkok you have either markets or malls...and malls are the only place where you can walk. The streets are chaotic, the sidewalks narrow and the traffic unbelievable.
The big change besides the multiplication of condos comparing to our last visit, 15th years ago, is the sky train that clearly improve transportation but in terms of aesthetic is pretty horrible to have cement also on top of you.
